Highlights

Sólheimajökull is a raw and rugged outlet glacier in an ever changing environment. Glacial landscape is amazing and dynamic, including crevice, holes and small black volcanic sand hills. Sometimes we are able to look into the small holes or caves. The 3 hour Glacier walk is a great glacier adventure where you can try for yourself how it feels to walk on glacier ice. We walk on Sólheimajökull glacier (a part of the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap) on the south coast of Iceland where we have our glacier walk base. Nearby Skógar and Vík. **We always try to fit our trips to our guests needs and wishes**

About Vík

Vík í Mýrdal is a small village on Iceland's south coast beside black sand, sea stacks and puffin cliffs, with a glacier-capped volcano above.

Vík í Mýrdal is the southernmost village on the Icelandic mainland, set on a green slope above a long beach, with a small red-roofed church on the hill. The Mýrdalsjökull ice cap, which covers the Katla volcano, fills the horizon to the north, and the sea stacks of Reynisdrangar rise out of the water off the beach.

Top-ranked sights in Vík: Reynisfjara Beach, Sólheimajökull Glacier, Mýrdalsjökull Glacier.
