5Salt Mines
A very nice day all round. The mines are fascinating.Well worth a visit. Our driver Jurek was most helpful at all times.I just wish the guide taking us around the mines would have allowed a toilet stop in the cafe area on our way out along some long tunnels. We came out in the dark and rushed back to the bus as we were not sure where we were and followed the crowd. My husband is elderly and cannot walk fast.Jurek said we could go back to the outside toilets .We did not want to hold the group up so we tried to rush.Jurek was very kind so I have mentioned this to help other people.

About Krakow
Kraków, Poland's royal former capital, has a beautifully preserved medieval old town, crowned by Wawel Castle above the Vistula River.
The Main Market Square, one of the largest medieval squares in Europe, is lined with burghers' houses and centred on the arcaded Cloth Hall. St Mary's Basilica rises at one corner, its carved wooden altarpiece a Gothic masterpiece, and a trumpet call sounds from its tower through the day and night.
Top-ranked sights in Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, Rynek Glowny (Main Market Square), Wieliczka Salt Mine (Kopalnia Soli).
