Highlights
Spend a day at the Eagle’s Nest, Berchtsgaden and visit the Ramsau Region with church and Lake Hintersee on this 8-hour private tour from Salzburg. Next to the historical Eagle's Nest the Ramsau region is another top sightseeing attraction in the Bavarian Alps. From November to about May 10th (depends on the snow conditions of the year), the Eagle's Nest direct access road is closed, alternatively we offer to visit the Rossfeld summit instead. From this vantage point, soak in panoramic views of the stunning Austrian and Bavarian Alps and the nearby Eagle's Nest. Feel free to choose this option also when Eagle's Nest is opened if you prefer a much less crowded, more local site than the Eagle's Nest.

Itinerary
Meet your professional local guide and driver at your Salzburg hotel and hop on board of your luxury minivan. Afterward, your journey will take you on beautiful backroads to the Obersalzberg Region.
This lake is a jewel located at an off the beaten track area of the Bavarian Mountains.
The St. Sebastian Church built already 1512, got famous in a time long before photo cameras were founded, many of the painters came for painting the nice scenery with the river, church and the mountains in the background. This is how that small village got known for tourism long before others did.
Enjoy a relaxed stop in the charming alpine town of Berchtesgaden, where you will have time to explore the historic center and choose from a selection of traditional Bavarian restaurants for lunch (own expense). Surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery, this is the perfect opportunity to experience local cuisine and take in the authentic atmosphere of the region.
Set high above Berchtesgaden, the Obersalzberg offers both remarkable alpine views and important historical context. During your stop, your guide will introduce the former Berghof area—once a key site of the Nazi regime, while also highlighting how this peaceful mountain setting contrasts with its past. Today, the Obersalzberg is appreciated not only for its history, but also for its scenic location overlooking the Berchtesgaden Alps.
From the Obersalzberg, access the Eagle’s Nest via the famous mountain road using dedicated buses, followed by the original brass elevator carved deep into the mountain. At the summit, enjoy time to explore this remarkable mountaintop location, surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views across the Bavarian and Austrian Alps. Beyond its dramatic setting, the Eagle’s Nest offers a unique combination of history and scenery, making it one of the most memorable highlights of your journey.
Return to your accommodation or any other location in Salzburg at the end of the day.

About Salzburg
Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart, is a baroque city on the Salzach River beneath a hilltop fortress, with the Alps at its edge.
The old town, on the left bank of the Salzach, is a UNESCO World Heritage site of baroque church domes, narrow lanes and arcaded courtyards, built on the salt trade and presided over by the Hohensalzburg Fortress. Mozart was born in 1756 in a yellow house on Getreidegasse, now a museum, while Residenzplatz and Domplatz hold the cathedral and the palaces of the prince-archbishops.
Top-ranked sights in Salzburg: Mirabell Palace and Gardens (Schloss Mirabell und Mirabellgarten), Hellbrunn Palace (Schloss Hellbrunn), Nonnberg Abbey (Stift Nonnberg).
