You will also have enough time to do some shopping in the old town or just sit and have an nice glass of great Slovenian wine or a cup of coffee at the banks of Ljubljanica river. About Koper
Koper, on Slovenia's short Adriatic coast, is a port town with a Venetian-style old centre, close to salt pans, Istrian hills and Trieste.
Koper stands on Slovenia's small stretch of the Adriatic, on the northern side of the Istrian peninsula, as a working port with a compact old town. For centuries it was a Venetian possession called Capodistria, and its main square, Tito Square, is framed by the Praetorian Palace, the loggia and the cathedral, whose tower can be climbed for a view of the bay. The cathedral holds a painting by Carpaccio.
