5Amazing experience with Nuru
Nuru helped make it an amazing experience! He's a very kind guy that will make sure you're taken care of. There was no stress during the trip and he's a safe driver. He will also help you feel closer to God. I recommend him highly.
4Worth the visit and items you should know before you go.
Worthwhile trip with great views and sightings BUT DO KNOW that the trip from Nairobi is through massive construction of expanding the highway (even with early start it takes 2 hours). We were picked up at the hotel by Wilson on time for a private tour. We took the highway direct to Hell's Gate bypassing the escarpment we had visited on a earlier trip. It was a long drive made longer by construction (account for this in factoring when to leave from Nairobi for the next 2 years). Car was comfortable even though one seat belt did not work properly. Hells Gate is an interesting location. It is within the floor of the Great Rift Valley, Hell’s Gate has very interesting geographical features such towering cliffs of red and white, obsidian lying on the ground, gorges, geothermal features, and a large valley to create a varied landscape. Quite the scene and it had very visitors when we went. We biked through the valley and you must know the following: sandy and rocky soil requires effort and concentration, constant car passing at speeds create massive clouds of dust, and you have to bring your own water. Go to facilities before embarking on ride. Take your time to check the bike and have it fitted properly for your size. Have a gaiter or mask for the dust!!! I suggest that KWS ban cars from 0700 to noon and only allow bikes and pedestrians. You will see wildlife aplenty: Baboons, Zebras, Giraffe, Eland, Hyrax, Gazelles, etc... and several species of birds. Lake Naivasha was a wonderful story. We loved it! It is full of birds and that was one of my primary interests. We did a private tour and our guide was excellent. We saw wildlife on the banks and had a few sightings of listed vulnerable bird species. The boat ride is a must if you must go that for to visit Hell's Gate. The ride back took us 3.2 hours due to construction and accidents. Our driver was very good, cautious, and patient. Well done. I recommend it but be patient with the drive.
4Hells Gate National Park cycling safari
I had an amazing experience visiting Hell's Gate National Park, thanks to my guide, Leki. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the history and significance of the park. Leki guided me through the gorge and took the time to explain the fascinating stories behind the different sites, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. He also went above and beyond by helping me take some fantastic photos that perfectly captured my visit. His friendly personality, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm made the tour truly memorable. I highly recommend Leki to anyone visiting Hell's Gate National Park. If you're looking for a guide who is professional, engaging, and dedicated to ensuring you have a great experience, Leki is the perfect choice. +254111789632
5Great trip with Steven and Gomez
We had such a great time doing the bike tour and hike at Hells Gate. Our driver Steven was so friendly and telling us lots of information about the areas we were in and our tour guide at Hells Gate, Gomez, was excellent! Gomez took us on an extra bit of the gorge walk which included bare foot walking through the water at times and then a little bit of rock climbing. When I was struggling cycling back in the heat, Gomez pushed me through the hard bits - literally - I didn't have to pedal! Steven then got us safely to the airport. The whole day was great, such a beautiful location and we loved having a more active day - it definitely tired us out ahead of our flight!
5I was the only person on...
I was the only person on this tour but I didn’t matter because the guides, especially Gomez in hells gate and Ian on the lake were brilliant.
5Hell’s Gate tour with Gomez
The tour was great! Gomez had a lot of knowledge, and really nice. It was a good morning, with great views and we could see a lot of animals up close. We 100% recommand this tour with Gomez, the guide!

About Nairobi
Nairobi is Kenya's energetic capital and the starting point for East African safari, with a national park where wildlife roams beneath the city skyline.
Nairobi National Park lies just beyond the suburbs, and its lions, rhinos, giraffes and buffalo can be seen with skyscrapers on the horizon. Close by, an orphanage raises young elephants rescued from across Kenya, and the Giraffe Centre lets visitors meet rare Rothschild's giraffes eye to eye from a raised platform.
