Highlights
Get hands-on with two of Austria’s most iconic specialties: traditional Apple Strudel and the famous Salzburger Nockerl. You’ll prepare the dishes yourself while being guided step by step by an experienced chef. Our small-group classes are fun, relaxed and interactive, making it easy to enjoy the experience even if you have never cooked before. Stretch the strudel dough until it is paper-thin, create your own fluffy Salzburger Nockerl and discover the little tricks behind these Austrian classics. The cooking school itself adds to the experience: it is located in one of Salzburg’s oldest quarters, where centuries-old houses are built directly into the city mountain. More than just a cooking class, it’s a delicious and entertaining way to experience Salzburg, meet other travelers and take a little piece of Austrian food culture home with you.

5Delightful experience
A fun and memorable way to learn about local culture. Our teacher was friendly and made preparing the two desserts simple. THe food was delicious. We enjoyed the hands-on experience as well as the chance to sit and share our meal with our fellow travelers.

Absolutely amazing experience! Alina taught us how to make an apple strudel and a Salzburg Nockerl! They both turned out soo good! Yummy! They gave us Goulash soup! Absolutely delightful experience!
5This class was such a fun...
This class was such a fun experience! We learned step by step how to make the pretzels and apple strudel. The instructors were very informative, helpful and patient! Drinks were offered at the beginning of class, and water was provided free of charge. The goulash soup (beef & potatoes) was delicious and they offered a vegetarian option as well that we ate while waiting for the desserts to bake. The location was so convenient and easy walk from other shopping areas and major sightseeing spots. Would definitely recommend!

About Salzburg
Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart, is a baroque city on the Salzach River beneath a hilltop fortress, with the Alps at its edge.
The old town, on the left bank of the Salzach, is a UNESCO World Heritage site of baroque church domes, narrow lanes and arcaded courtyards, built on the salt trade and presided over by the Hohensalzburg Fortress. Mozart was born in 1756 in a yellow house on Getreidegasse, now a museum, while Residenzplatz and Domplatz hold the cathedral and the palaces of the prince-archbishops.
Top-ranked sights in Salzburg: Mirabell Palace and Gardens (Schloss Mirabell und Mirabellgarten), Hellbrunn Palace (Schloss Hellbrunn), Nonnberg Abbey (Stift Nonnberg).
