4. The evening will end with a spectacular drive through the downtown core where all the buildings are brightly lit up. Feel free to take pictures throughout the drive or just sit back and enjoy the view. About Halifax

Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia, is an Atlantic harbour city of seafaring history, a hilltop citadel and a long waterfront boardwalk.

Halifax was founded in 1749 as a British naval base, and the harbour is still its heart. Citadel Hill, topped by a star-shaped fort, looks over downtown and the water, and a boardwalk of piers, galleries and cafés follows the waterfront. The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic covers shipwrecks, the Titanic, whose recovered victims were brought to Halifax, and the great explosion of 1917.
