1. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure starting in Catania! Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, is waiting for you to reveal its secrets. Accompanied by an experienced local Guide who knows every corner of the area, you will immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Etna: you will discover its ancient history, explore the unique flora and fauna and witness extraordinary geological phenomena. After a comfortable pick-up, your journey will start heading towards Trecastagni where a local organic farm will be waiting for you, where you can taste the typical products of Etna.

2. Once the tasting is complete, we will head towards a captivating volcanic cave, fully equipped with helmets and torches, which will be provided free of charge by the guide, for an adventure that will feel like a journey to the center of the Earth.

3. To conclude in style, we will reach Rifugio Sapienza, located on the southern side of Mount Etna. Along the way, we will make stops at fascinating points of interest while the guide shares intriguing stories about the latest eruptions and the ancient Silvestri Craters. Once we arrive at Rifugio Sapienza at 1920 meters, we will continue the adventure with a panoramic hike along one of the picturesque trails in the Etna Park at 2000 meters. Here, you will be surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and the pristine beauty of a truly unique environment.

About Catania

Catania, on Sicily's east coast, is a black lava-stone city beneath Mount Etna, with a noisy fish market, Baroque squares and a long seafront.

Catania lies at the foot of Mount Etna, the active volcano whose lava reached the city in 1669, and an earthquake in 1693 flattened it. Rebuilt in the eighteenth century in the Baroque style, it uses black lava stone for walls and paving, set against white limestone. The Piazza del Duomo has an elephant of lava stone carrying an obelisk, the cathedral of Sant'Agata, and a fountain.
