Mnemba island is one of the best and popular spots in Zanzibar for its beautiful and colorful marine life to your eyes before even you dip your head, it’s a right place for having a premium snorkeling due to the presence of plenty of fish like frogfish, barracuda and napoleon fish and hard and soft coral reefs. Mnemba island is very popular as dolphin destination in Zanzibar especially bottle nosed dolphins though it’s not guaranteed however can be spotted most of the days. If it’s low tide you can have a good time at the sandbank surrounded with very crystal clear waters.

  Great trip! Saw so many dolphins, snorkeled in the reef near mnemba and had some delicious fruit. Everyone was very nice!

• 5Fantastic snorkeling and beautiful water

  Beautiful day on the water! We saw dolphins then did some fantastic snorkeling before spending some time on the sandbank to just chill in the crystal clear waters. I always love getting out on the water and spending it with a friendly informative guide made it even better!!

About Zanzibar City

Zanzibar City is the main town of Zanzibar island, and its old Stone Town of carved doors and narrow lanes carries Swahili, Arab and Indian history.

Stone Town is the old heart of Zanzibar City, a maze of narrow lanes, coral-stone houses and carved wooden doors, shaped by centuries of Arab, Indian, Persian and European traders. The House of Wonders, the Old Fort and the Sultan's Palace face the seafront, and Forodhani Gardens fills with food stalls at dusk. The Anglican cathedral stands on the site of a former slave market, with a sobering memorial nearby.
