In this 70 min walking tour, to begin with, we will take you through the old town, which is padded on the peninsula and surrounded by beautiful parks and city walls. At the heart of the peninsula, there are numerous monuments, restaurants, and cafes, as well as numerous facilities for visitors, such as museums and various shops. Zadar's incredible Sea Organ, designed by local architect Nikola Bašić, is unique. Set within the perforated stone stairs that descend into the sea is a system of pipes and whistles that exudes wistful sighs when the movement of the sea pushes air through it. The effect is hypnotic, with the mellifluous tones increasing in volume when a boat or ferry passes by. You can swim from the steps off the promenade while listening to the sounds.

About Zadar
Zadar, on Croatia's Dalmatian coast, is an old Roman and Venetian town on a peninsula, known for its sea organ and the sunsets beside it.
The old town of Zadar sits on a narrow peninsula, bordered by Venetian walls and the Land Gate. The remains of a Roman forum lie beside the round church of St Donatus, a ninth-century building that is the best-known landmark. Kalelarga, the main pedestrian street, follows the line of the Roman main street, with shops and cafés, and the cathedral of St Anastasia stands nearby.
