Redondo Beach lies on Santa Monica Bay in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. The Redondo Beach Pier and King Harbor, with fishing boats and yachts, anchor the waterfront, and Seaside Lagoon is a sheltered saltwater swimming area. A beachfront path for walking, cycling and skating runs north through Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach, and Riviera Village has shops and cafés a short way inland.
