With its Victorian Style architechture and warm temperatures and people, take a stroll around the city visiting the Amber Museum, a neo'classical location to visit amber fossils, stones, as part of the heritage of Puerto Plata. Within a couple of minutes walk, arrive to the Umbrella Streets and Paseo de Doña Blanca, where the culture really stands to its name, experience local coffe and other local shops. Visit Central Park, the cathedral, its beautiful pedestrian streets, Fort San Felipe, and the amphitheater. Prepare yourself to be in awe, all the way to the top of the mountains, where Isabel de Torres National park is located. Beautiful views, a vast diversity of beautiful flora, and pictures with El Cristo Redentor and delicious Domincan food. Keep in mind transfers and pickups are included at Hotels and Cruise Ports.

Michael made our experience unforgettable. His hospitality was exceptional, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the tour. He was always available to answer our questions with honesty and genuine care. Thanks to him, we experienced a true immersion into Dominican culture that we will never forget. 5Saturday, December 7th Holland America shore excursion
My wife were on the Mountain View’s and City Sights shore excursion, leaving, and returning, from Amber Cove. Our tour vehicle picked us up at 9am, and returned about 3.5hrs later. Our tour guide was Alexander, and I believe our driver was Guillermo. First off, Alexander was indeed “Alexander the Great”. He was a super tour guide. He knew his stuff, and was very personable, and funny. He was very mindful of reminding us to be safe getting on and off the truck, and while making our way around the sights. Our driver Guillermo, was also super nice. And so helpful in getting in and out of the truck. Our tour started with a drive to the top of the mountain, and seeing the sights. All the while, Alexander filling us in with great information. After the mountain we made our way down to Puerto Plata, where we made several stops. All were very interesting to me. I had a great time, and the time went fast. I would even do this tour again. We were lucky to have Alexander as a guide, and Guillermo as a driver. Thanks to them.
