Maastricht is a attractive destination for visitors, also during early evening time. Book a nice PRIVAT evening stroll of 2 hrs. in 'mysterious' light atmosphere and walk with your personal guide in a private tour ( languages NL, DE, EN ). Excellent for parents of new students, visitors before or after business-meetings, congress or starting your weekend in town. Groups with more as 15 guests are possible with more guides. Starting time : as you wish with pickup at your hotel in the city center, but you can easily direct book at 19.00 PM (just ask for other starting times during the day). Also possible as before, after or in between dinner tour. Participation in walks at own risk.

During Christmas-time the Vrijthof square is beautiful lit with countles lights, a christmas market, covered ice rink and a beautiful lit ferriswheel.
The St. Servatius Basilica is central west part of the Vrijthof Square and gives a beautiful scenery.
A short stroll in the picturesque Jeker quarter is a must. Experience the relaxing tranquility of monumental buildings, the enormous trees, the river Jeker and in the evening the mysterious lights.
The Onze Lieve Vrouwe Square is a Paris atmosphere square, beautiful decorated with Christmas lights and the west front of the Basilica as a impressive heritage site with more as 1000 years history.

Maastricht is in fact the bridge, beginning with the Roman bridge. Nowadays the Servaasbridge, 750 years old as the oldest bridge in the Netherlands. In Christmas time of course nice decorated with all the lights.
The Market Square with the 350-years old town hall in the middle is a must to visit during Christmas time with the many pubs, restaurants and magnificent Christmas lights.

About Maastricht
Maastricht is a southern Dutch city on the River Maas, with Roman roots, cobbled squares, a bookshop in a church and a Burgundian love of food and wine.
Maastricht is the capital of Limburg, set on the River Maas in the far south of the Netherlands, almost surrounded by Belgium and close to Germany. It began as a Roman crossing of the river, and the Sint Servaasbrug still crosses the river at the old crossing. The Vrijthof, a large square, is flanked by the Romanesque basilica of St Servatius and the red tower of St John's church, and the Helpoort is among the oldest town gates in the Netherlands.
