Itinéraire
The game drive usually takes place in the early morning or late afternoon, when wildlife is most active. During this time, the air is cool, and animals come out to feed or move around. As guests travel through the open landscapes of the lodge, they can experience the beauty of the Botswana bush, including rolling hills, open valleys, and natural vegetation. During the drive, visitors may encounter a variety of animals that live in the area. While Big Valley Game Lodge does not focus on large predators, guests can see animals such as zebras, ostriches, antelope, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. These sightings provide a peaceful and educational experience, especially for those interested in nature and conservation. The animals are often calm and move freely, allowing visitors to observe their natural behavior without disturbance. A trained guide leads each game drive, sharing knowledge about the animals, plants, and surroundings.
Lion Park is a wildlife attraction that offers visitors the opportunity to observe lions and other animals in a safe and natural environment. It provides an educational and recreational experience, allowing guests to learn about wildlife conservation while enjoying guided tours and close-up views of some of Africa's most iconic species. It is a popular stop for families, nature enthusiasts, and tourists seeking an authentic African wildlife experience.

This guided cruise takes you through calm waterways where you can observe a variety of bird species, including African fish eagles, kingfishers, herons, and other water birds in their natural habitat. The area is also known for its crocodiles and hippos, which are often seen resting along the riverbanks or moving through the water. Viewing wildlife from the boat offers a safe and unique perspective, perfect for photography and relaxed sightseeing. Led by experienced local guides, the cruise includes informative commentary on the ecosystem, wildlife behavior, and conservation efforts. About Gaborone
Gaborone, capital of Botswana, is a young, low-rise city near the South African border, with a dam, a game reserve and a rocky hill within easy reach.
Gaborone was laid out in the 1960s to serve as the capital of newly independent Botswana, replacing Mafeking, which lay across the border in South Africa. It is named after Chief Gaborone of the Batlokwa and spreads low and green across a dry plain. At the Three Dikgosi Monument, statues of the chiefs Khama III, Sebele I and Bathoen I recall their 1895 journey to London to seek protection from Cecil Rhodes's company.
