The two different forests provides a variety of flora and fauna which give us bigger chances to find a lot of wildlife and appreciate the diversity of flora. A Passionate and experienced local guide with great knowledge of the local flora and fauna of the area will show you the trails complex and help you spot the amazing treasures of the tropical forest of Monteverde. About Monteverde
Monteverde is a mountain community in Costa Rica's cloud forest, known for misty reserves, hanging bridges, birdlife and coffee farms.
Monteverde is a scattering of farms and small villages on the Tilarán Mountains, around 1,400 metres up, where moist winds from the Caribbean wrap the ridge in cloud. Quaker families from the United States settled here in the 1950s and began dairy farming, and they helped protect the forest above. The Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve and the neighbouring Santa Elena Reserve preserve mossy trees, ferns, orchids and hanging vines.
