  3. The place is of great natural beauty, considered as the Garden of the Blessed Virgin, called its “bit of Heaven”. It is worth the visit, even if you are not a Catholic or believer in these events. If they wish, pilgrims can bring empty bottles to collect water from the spring next to the shrine (it is considered holy water with spiritual properties).

    20 min

  4. Hosteria Dos Chorreras offers a unique experience of accommodation in a natural environment, with facilities designed to provide comfort while maintaining the connection with the beauty of the Andean landscape. The name "Dos Chorreras" refers to the two waterfalls found nearby, which add a special touch to the environment. In the same way you can taste the local cuisine and visit the chocolate shop where you will find a variety of desserts made with national cocoa.

About Cuenca

Cuenca is a high Andean city in southern Ecuador, a UNESCO-listed colonial centre with a blue-domed cathedral, flower markets and four rivers.

Cuenca sits at about 2,500 metres in a basin of the southern Andes, and its historic centre is listed by UNESCO. The Tomebamba River runs beside the old quarter, with colonial houses overlooking its banks. The New Cathedral, with its three blue domes, faces Parque Calderón, and the nearby flower market sells roses and orchids. Spanish settlers founded the city in 1557 close to the Inca city of Tomebamba.
