Itinerary

  1. Experience Armenia’s night sky like never before on a stargazing adventure by Lake Sevan. Your journey begins in Yerevan at 3:00 or 4:00 PM, where you’ll depart for the tranquil Vishap Shore of Lake Sevan—one of Armenia’s darkest and most beautiful stargazing locations, just two hours away. When you arrive, telescopes will be set up and ready for you to explore the night sky. As the sun sets, your experience officially begins. Led by expert astronomer-guides, you’ll observe visible space objects through high-powered telescopes—including smart, modern devices that display celestial bodies in full color and detail. Throughout the evening, you’ll spot planets, stars, moons, and galaxies that shift with the season and the sky. Around the campfire, sip herbal tea or coffee and enjoy simple treats like roasted potatoes, marshmallows, and sweets. Between observations, enjoy relaxed science talks with astronomers, ask questions, and take in the peaceful mountain air.

About Yerevan

Yerevan is Armenia's pink-stoned capital, a city of wide squares, café terraces and museums, with Mount Ararat standing on its southern skyline.

The city grew around Erebuni, a fortress founded in 782 BC, though most of today's centre was built in the Soviet era from the soft pink and orange tuff that earned Yerevan its nickname, the Pink City. Republic Square is the hub, framed by government buildings and museums. The Cascade, a giant stairway of terraces and sculpture, climbs a hillside, and the Matenadaran holds a famous collection of medieval manuscripts.

Top-ranked sights in Yerevan: Republic Square, Tsaghkadzor Ropeway, Matenadaran (Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts).
