Itinerary

  1. The tours are fully customizable, but if you are going for a shorter 3-hour tour, we would recommend concentrating on one of the major ethnic districts such as Chinatown where we will tell you a bit more about how Singaporeans live, work and play. We will also tell you a bit more about how the city is planned

    1.5 h

  2. Kampong Glam is a vibrant and colorful neighborhood in Singapore that will transport you to another world. As you wander through the narrow streets lined with colorful shophouses and street art, you'll feel like you've stepped into a version of Singapore that's been preserved in time. But don't let the old-world charm fool you - Kampong Glam is also home to a host of trendy cafes, bars, and restaurants that cater to a hip and trendy crowd. As you explore, you'll find a mix of traditional businesses like spice shops and textile stores alongside more modern establishments like artisanal coffee shops and trendy cocktail bars. No visit to Kampong Glam would be complete without stopping by the iconic Sultan Mosque, which serves as the spiritual center of the neighborhood. So if you're looking to experience a side of Singapore that's full of character and flavor, make sure to add Kampong Glam to your itinerary.

    1.5 h

  3. This vibrant neighborhood is a food lover's paradise, with an array of tantalizing flavors and aromas that will transport you straight to the streets of Mumbai. But it's not just about the food - Little India is a feast for the senses, with colorful shopfronts and bustling markets selling everything from traditional saris to exotic spices. And don't forget to check out the stunning Hindu temples, which are a testament to the neighborhood's rich cultural history. So if you're looking for a sensory overload that will leave you hungry for more, Little India is the place to be

  • 5Chinatown walking tour Singapore with Eunice

Today we did the walking tour with Eunice in Chinatown and it was really nice! Eunice was a really enthousiastic and kind guide and took really good care of us during the tour (e.g. looking for places in the shade). She also gave us a lot of recommendations to try after the tour. She was open for all questions we had. Loved it! 100% recommend!

  • 5Perfect Introduction to Singapore

I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to really understand Singapore—its architecture, history, neighborhoods, transit and food\. Our guide, Su, was exceptional\. She spoke perfect English, was incredibly knowledgeable, and took us well beyond the standard tourist photo stops, providing an authentic deep dive into Singapore’s diverse cultures, communities and everyday life\. She also shared great advice that made the rest of our visit and sightseeing even better\. During our half\-day private tour, we walked and traveled by both bus and MRT, with Su teaching us how to navigate Singapore’s excellent public transportation system\. We later met our driver, allowing us to cover more of the city\. We explored Kampong Glam, Little India, the Civic District and Marina Bay, finishing with lunch at Maxwell Food Centre and an introduction to Singapore’s hawker culture\. It was a fantastic way to spend our first morning in Singapore and an experience that enhanced our entire visit\.

  • 5Fantastic food tour !

We had a fantastic food and cultural tour of Singapore with Jamie. She was absolutely lovely friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about Singapore. We visited Kampong Glam, Little India and Chinatown, tasting some amazing local food along the way, including kaya toast, vadai and otak-otak. Jamie brought the history and culture of each area to life and made the whole morning so interesting and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble, and we learnt so much while having lots of fun. Jamie was a wonderful guide and really helped make our Singapore experience special. We would highly recommend this tour and Jamie!

  • 5Great Overview Tour

We were referred to Indie Singapore by our hotel. Coordinating the tour was easy. Communication was clear. We were able to explain that our interest were less typical tourist and more focused on history, arts, architecture, etc.. We built a half-day tour (with an air-conditioned car, which was key for an August trip) that met our expectations and focus. Our tour guide traditionally works in one of the art museums and was quite knowledgeable. When they tour ended, we thought we had received exactly what had been described and exactly what we had wanted.

About Singapore

Singapore is a gleaming island city-state where futuristic gardens, colonial landmarks and multicultural neighbourhoods meet outstanding hawker food.

Marina Bay is the showpiece, with the three towers and rooftop deck of Marina Bay Sands, the Merlion statue spouting water into the bay, and the supertrees and glass domes of Gardens by the Bay, which glow in light shows after dark. The colonial core nearby holds the National Gallery, the Asian Civilisations Museum and the white facade of the Raffles Hotel.
