5Omg PUFFINS!! on the best tour we took in Iceland <3
Hands down the best tour we took our entire two weeks in Iceland! Ebbi was an absolutely wonderful host for his home island—in two hours we fell in love with Heimaey and can't wait to go back (and this time, actually stay there! especially for the great Puffling Patrol). Ebbi was extremely knowledgeable and kind and honestly the all-around perfect tour guide. Can't recommend enough!!
5Great Day
Island and tour were well worth the day. Ebbi is informative and loves his Island. Learned a lot from Puffins, early living in Iceland, the volcano, and Island life. Saw the Puffins before they left to sea- thousands of them! Ended with 2 hours before next ferry so snjoyed lunch and shopping.
5Best Tour in Iceland
This was, without a doubt, the best tour we took while vacationing in Iceland. It was AMAZING!! Our guide, Ebbi, was funny and full of wonderful information about the people and history of the island. Even though we did the tour on August 30, 2026, we were able to see Puffins!! The mainland Puffin's had all left, but Puffins on Vestmannaeyjar stay until mid-September so we were able to see a colony and even watched rescued Pufflings being released (be sure to ask Ebbi about Pufflings). Thank you, Ebbi, for an amazing tour.
5Excellent tour experience
Excellent tour with a fun and knowledgeable local guide/owner. Kept the tour fun while sharing a lot of information about the island and residents, the volcanic eruption and birdlife, including puffins. Easy to book directly with the business. Highly recommend to get a great overview of the island.

Ebbi gave us an amazing enjoyable tour, he took us all over the island including the puffin cliffs, there were plenty to see, apparently they are here well into September, Absolutely stunning island and traveling with a local Ebbi was so informative. Do come and enjoy all the island has to offer!

- We are located in Vestmannaeyjar ( Heimaey), which is an island in south island. We are just 1.minute away from the ferry terminal in Vestmannaeyjar and 5-7 minutes away from the cruise ship port. You will find us at the harbour in a small black and blue house with Puffin signs above.

About Heimaey
Heimaey is the only inhabited island of Iceland's Westman Islands, a volcanic outcrop of puffin cliffs and lava, with a harbour town rebuilt after 1973.
Heimaey, the largest of the Westman Islands off Iceland's south coast, lies about 10 km from the mainland and holds a fishing town of more than four thousand people. In January 1973 an eruption split the ground beside the town, burying houses under ash and lava, and the islanders were evacuated almost overnight, mostly by fishing boat. The new volcano, Eldfell, now rises behind the harbour and can be climbed, and the Eldheimar museum shows a house dug out of the ash.
