The trip continues with a stop at Marsaxlokk fishing village, where traveller can enjoy traditional Maltese market and a nice stroll along this harbour and traditional fishing boats
After a day of exploring the mesmerizing sites and fishing villages, we'll make a stop at a very popular sightseeing spot overlooking the marvelous Blue Grotto Arch that was formed over the years by saltwater erosion. A once-in-a-lifetime traditional boat ride along the natural cliff-side caves await your arrival. A Fishing village where you can enjoy a delicious meal while basking in breathtaking views of the coast.
In Rabat, just outside Mdina's walls, travellers will discover a vibrant Maltese town with a mix of historic sites and local charm, including the ancient St. Paul’s Catacombs and the Roman Villa museum showcasing intricate mosaics. The bustling streets feature traditional bakeries, quaint churches, and lively markets, offering an authentic taste of Maltese culture. This lively yet historic town provides a perfect contrast to the serene Mdina nearby.
At Dingli Cliffs, travellers will be awed by towering limestone cliffs dropping sharply into the Mediterranean, offering stunning panoramic views and glimpses of the uninhabited islet of Filfla. The rugged, sparsely vegetated landscape and quaint chapel create a serene setting, perfect for breathtaking sunsets.
At the Mosta Rotunda, travellers will marvel at the awe-inspiring Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady, famed for its massive, unsupported dome—one of the largest in the world. The ornate interior, adorned with intricate frescoes and gold detailing, exudes grandeur, while the story of a WWII bomb miraculously failing to detonate inside adds historical intrigue. This architectural masterpiece is a must-visit for its blend of beauty and history.

5Excellent tour
Itinerary was good to start with but Christopher tweaked it so we saw some things on our tick list that were not included Christopher was an excellent guide -so knowledgeable and patient with 2 ‘oldies’ ! Unfortunately lunch took longer than it should which meant we had no time in Rabat
5Mark’s the Best!
Had an excellent day exploring some of Malta’s amazing places. From his first text in the morning until he dropped me and my wife off at our hotel at the end of the trip; Mark was an outstanding driver, guide, and historian. Could not imagine a better way to spend a full day in Malta!
5Excellent tour
Christopher looked after us superbly on our tour. He checked with us what we were interested in and adjusted the tour to suit. He had a vast knowledge of Malta’s history which was very interesting
5Malta experience
Christopher was our guide and driver for the day. The car was large enough for 4 adults and was driven very professionally. Christopher assisted us in planning a route around the parts of Malta we were eager to see. He guided around queues and chose spots for lunch and snacks. We saw so much and were not disappointed we booked the tour. The company also kept in touch via email on the build up to the tour. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Thank you Island Traveller
5A wonderful day in Malta
Our tour was perfect from the start to end. Our guide Christopher was a wonderful guide clearly dedicated to ensuring our expectations & interests were met. And, they were met in every way. We toured the 3 cities, Mdina, Rabat,Hagar Kim, marsaxlokk, blue grotto, Dingli cliffs, with each stop catered to what we wanted. Christopher was quite knowledgeable giving us great overviews, as well as answering all our questions. He was professional, congenial, pleasant, an excellent driver, and a pleasure to be with. We consider ourselves looking out having Christopher as our guide.

About Valletta
Valletta is Malta's tiny walled capital on a rocky peninsula, built by the Knights of St John with baroque palaces, a deep harbour and a Caravaggio.
Valletta was founded in 1566 by the Order of St John, a year after the Great Siege of Malta, and laid out on a grid of streets on a narrow peninsula between two harbours. The whole city is a World Heritage site. St John's Co-Cathedral looks plain outside but is gilded within, and holds Caravaggio's Beheading of Saint John the Baptist. The Grand Master's Palace and the Upper Barrakka Gardens look over Grand Harbour.
Top-ranked sights in Valletta: Upper Barrakka Gardens, St. John's Co-Cathedral (Kon-Katidral ta' San Gwann), Grand Master's Palace.
