Phnom Penh’s early morning buzz around you as you wait in your hotel lobby, your name on a cheerful “welcome” sign held by your driver. Fifteen minutes before departure, you're ushered into a comfortable, air‑conditioned vehicle bound for Siem Reap. Over the next 5–6 hours, you’ll glide through Cambodia’s changing landscapes—rice paddies, villages, and open skies—with relaxing toilet and coffee breaks sprinkled along the way.
Angkor Wat, built c.1150 by King Suryavarman II, is a monumental Hindu-Buddhist temple complex near Siem Reap. Covering around 160 ha, it's famed for its five-tower silhouette, vast moat, and intricate bas-reliefs depicting gods and epic tales
The South Gate of Angkor Thom (late 12th–early 13th c.) is the best-preserved entrance to the walled city. Flanked by devas and asuras holding naga balustrades, it features 23 m towers with serene faces carved in the Bayon style
Bayon, the state temple at Angkor Thom built by Jayavarman VII (late 12th–early 13th c.), is famous for its ~37 stone towers, each adorned with immense serene faces. Its galleries brim with bas-reliefs depicting myth, history, and Khmer daily life
Enjoy Khmer Traditional Lunch
Ta Prohm (late 12th c., by Jayavarman VII) is a jungle-clad Buddhist temple near Angkor Thom, famed for its massive trees and roots entwined with mossy ruins. Left largely unrestored, it evokes an “ancient, overgrown” atmosphere and featured in Tomb Raider
Pub Street comes alive with color, music, and irresistible energy. Located in the heart of Siem Reap, this iconic street is the city’s nightlife epicenter—buzzing with life, laughter, and unforgettable experiences.
Step into the vibrant soul of Siem Reap at the Old Market (Phsar Chas), where the charm of Cambodia comes alive in a colorful, chaotic, and captivating atmosphere. Nestled near the riverside and just minutes from the iconic Pub Street, this historic market is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the real Cambodia.
As afternoon fades, you settle into the your ride back to Phnom Penh. The ride takes around 5 hours, arriving at your hotel as dusk sets in. (Note: weekends and Cambodian holidays can extend the journey.)

About Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh is Cambodia's riverside capital, where a gilded royal palace, French-era boulevards and markets sit beside memorials to the Khmer Rouge years.
The Royal Palace, with its tall pointed spires, and the neighbouring Silver Pagoda, whose floor is laid with silver tiles, stand close to the riverfront promenade where the Mekong and Tonlé Sap meet. Wat Phnom, a small hill temple, gave the city its name, and the National Museum, in a red Khmer-style building, holds a major collection of Angkorian sculpture. Art Deco Central Market and the busy Russian Market are good places to wander.
Top-ranked sights in Phnom Penh: Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), Choeung Ek Genocidal Center (Choeung Ek Killing Fields), Royal Palace.
