Proceed to the ever-growing Pelican Point to have a closer look at the lighthouse and where a large colony of Cape Fur Seals has established themselves. Enjoy the advantage of viewing the seals while you are the center of attraction for them as well and experience the thrills and adrenaline rush of some seals that will join you on the boat. Itinerary
The Catamaran Cruise departs at 09h00 from the Waterfront and returns about 12h00. Enroot to the see will Pelicans Seals and often Dolphins. On a good day we could spot the Sunfish ( Mola Mola) and even Whales ( in the whaling season). Some times Pelicans fly real close and we stop at the seal colony to view the 50000 strong seal colony from the sea. Snacks are served on the Catamaran. About Swakopmund
Swakopmund is a German-founded seaside town on Namibia's Atlantic coast, set between the cold ocean and the dunes of the Namib Desert.
Swakopmund was founded in 1892 as the main port of German South West Africa, and its centre still has half-timbered houses, a lighthouse and colonial buildings such as the Woermann House with its tower. A long jetty reaches into the cold Atlantic, palm-lined avenues run inland, and cafés serve German cake and coffee. The cold Benguela Current brings sea fog to the shore, so mornings are often grey even when the desert beyond is hot.
Top-ranked sights in Swakopmund: Cape Cross, Swakopmund Jetty, Namib-Naukluft National Park.
