Highlights
A classic enduro E-mountainbiking tour with fun trails and breathtaking views. The tour starts in Dalvík with a short session getting to know the bikes and the beautiful town. The route heads to the roots of the mountain for some relatively flat trail riding and forest fun. When comfortable, riders head up the mountainside and into a valley just above town. About Akureyri
Akureyri, at the head of a long fjord in North Iceland, is a small northern town with a hillside church, a botanical garden and big mountain views.
Akureyri lies at the head of Eyjafjörður, one of the longest fjords in Iceland, with snowy mountains rising on both sides. It is the largest town in the north and is often called the capital of North Iceland. The Akureyri Church, a stark concrete building designed by Guðjón Samúelsson, stands on a hill above the centre at the top of a broad flight of steps, and the botanical garden is one of the most northerly in the world.
Top-ranked sights in Akureyri: Godafoss, Dimmuborgir, Earth Lagoon Mývatn.
