Itinerary
The tour begins at Normafa, one of the most popular hiking spots among Budapest locals. Here, we will get acquainted with the use of the exoskeleton before starting our hike.
Szépjuhászné Station is one of the scenic stops along the Budapest Children’s Railway, set in the heart of the Buda Hills between Normafa and Hárs-hegy. It serves as an excellent starting point for forest walks and easy hikes, with several marked trails leading to popular viewpoints such as the Kaán Károly Lookout. Its peaceful, wooded surroundings and the nostalgic atmosphere of the narrow-gauge railway make it a favorite destination for hikers and families alike.
János Hill is the highest point of Budapest, offering expansive views over the entire city and the surrounding hills. It is a popular hiking destination, accessible via several forest trails as well as the historic chairlift operating from Zugliget. The area is also home to the iconic Elizabeth Lookout Tower, which provides one of the most impressive panoramas in the region.
Elizabeth Lookout (Erzsébet-kilátó) is one of Budapest’s most iconic viewpoints, located at the summit of János Hill, the highest point of the city. Built in 1910 and named in honor of Queen Elisabeth (Sisi), the stone tower offers panoramic, 360-degree views over Budapest and the surrounding Buda Hills. Its picturesque setting makes it a popular destination for hikers, families, and nature enthusiasts throughout the year. Reaching the lookout is a rewarding experience, combining a scenic forest walk with one of the best vistas in the entire region.

About Budapest
Budapest joins hilly Buda and flat Pest across the Danube, a grand capital of thermal baths, riverside palaces and lively ruin bars.
On the Buda side, Castle Hill holds Buda Castle, the Matthias Church and the white turrets of Fishermen's Bastion, all looking down on the river. The Chain Bridge crosses to Pest, where the Hungarian Parliament Building stretches along the bank and St Stephen's Basilica rises a few streets inland. Gellért Hill and its Citadella give the widest views.
Top-ranked sights in Budapest: House of Parliament (Országház), Buda Castle (Budai Vár), Chain Bridge (Széchenyi Lanchid) .
