Thought by many to have been the work of women which would have been highly unusual at the time. Tuck into some traditional Cambodian curries, soups and stir-fries.
In the afternoon, we'll visit East Mebon, a temple situated at the center of now-dry East Baray reservoir. The structure of the temple is in good condition and very gorgeous.
Ta Som is a small temple at Angkor. The most popular part of Ta Som is the huge strangler fig tree which has engulfed the eastern gate of the temple.
Preah Khan or Holy Sword temple is one of the biggest temple at Angkor ruins. It was built by the great Khmer King Jayavarman VII to dedicate his victory over Cham invasion. Angkor Wat, often called the largest religious monument in the world, rises above its moat in a silhouette of lotus-bud towers that is breathtaking at sunrise. Nearby, the walled city of Angkor Thom holds the Bayon, with its more than two hundred serene stone faces, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Baphuon, while Ta Prohm is gripped by the roots of giant silk-cotton and strangler fig trees.
