Less than an hour from Lisbon lies Sintra, home to the Pena Palace—conceived by King Ferdinand II, a great enthusiast of the Romantic movement. You can also explore the unique architecture of the eccentric Quinta da Regaleira. While strolling through the winding streets of the historic center, be sure to visit Piriquita to sample some traditional pastries. Thanks to its location between the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, Sintra boasts a unique microclimate. On the way back to Lisbon, you will travel along the coast, visiting Cabo da Roca—the westernmost point in Europe—and the picturesque fishing village of Cascais. Sea bathing became popular in the second half of the 19th century; when King Luís I chose the Cascais fortress as his summer residence, the nobility transformed the fishing village into a seaside resort filled with palaces and stately mansions.
The beautiful Palácio da Pena will be the highlight of any daytrip to Sintra. The greatest example of romantic architecture in Portugal, built in the 19th century.
In Sintra, we walk through the old village and we´ll taste the traditional pastry, queijadas and travesseiro.
The Quinta da Regaleira is a decorative 20th century residence that is situated in the town of Sintra. The grand house is split over five floors and has an ornate gothic façade, but the real attraction is to the rear with the enchanting gardens. The gardens of the Quinta da Regaleira were styled to represent ancient secret orders, with hidden tunnels and concealed symbolism.
Western point of Europe and see one of the best sunsets in the world (if the time allows).
One of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal known for its dunes and lovers of wind and kite surfing.
I´ll be our last stop where we can take a little walk a drink something before to go to Lisbon. Cascais it´s a picturesque and colorful fishing village on the banks of the Atlantic that has become one of the most sophisticated and visited destinations in Portugal. Known as the Portuguese Riviera the village of Cascais really has its charm and it is difficult to find someone who has not been enchanted by its quiet alleys, its beautiful palaces facing the sea or even the colorful boats leaning against the sea.

Miradores como Santa Luzia y Senhora do Monte enmarcan tejados rojos y aguas brillantes.
Top-ranked sights in Lisboa: Commerce Square (Praça do Comércio), Pena National Palace (Palacio Nacional da Pena), Alfama.
