Here you may take the ropeway and reach Teghenis mountain, from where a marvelous scenery opens to the surrounding mountains and Sevan lake. Lake Sevan is the pearl of Armenia. It is the main source of drinking water in our region as well as one of the biggest mountain lakes in the world, situated in the heart of Armenian Plateau, at an altitude of 1900 m. With surrounding territories it is included in Sevan National Park. Duration: 5 hours Total distance: 200 km

  1. First, you will take the ropeway up to the slope of Teghenis mountain and enjoy the fresh air and nice view. Ropeway ticket 2.000 AMD p.p. is not included in the price of the tour.

  2. Time for walking near the lake and admiring the nature. In Sevan peninsula you will take the stairs and reach Sevanavank Monastery on top of the hill, constructed in the 9-th century. It is possible to have a tasty lunch with fresh fish and seafood in restaurants right on the shore (not included in the price of the tour).

About Yerevan

Yerevan is Armenia's pink-stoned capital, a city of wide squares, café terraces and museums, with Mount Ararat standing on its southern skyline.

The city grew around Erebuni, a fortress founded in 782 BC, though most of today's centre was built in the Soviet era from the soft pink and orange tuff that earned Yerevan its nickname, the Pink City. Republic Square is the hub, framed by government buildings and museums. The Cascade, a giant stairway of terraces and sculpture, climbs a hillside, and the Matenadaran holds a famous collection of medieval manuscripts.
