About Rehoboth Beach
Rehoboth Beach is a Delaware seaside resort with a mile-long boardwalk, a wide Atlantic beach and the nickname Nation's Summer Capital.
Rehoboth Beach began in 1873 as a Methodist camp-meeting ground on Delaware's Atlantic coast, and it has grown into a family resort with a boardwalk about a mile long, a wide beach of fine sand and a bandstand at its centre. Rehoboth Avenue runs inland from the boardwalk, lined with shops, ice cream parlours and restaurants, and the nickname Nation's Summer Capital comes from the many Washington families who holiday here.
