About Valencia

Valencia is a Spanish Mediterranean city of beaches, orange groves, paella, a futuristic arts-and-sciences complex and a medieval silk exchange.

Valencia is Spain's third-largest city, set on a flat coastal plain. In the old town, La Lonja de la Seda, the Gothic silk exchange, is a UNESCO site, and the nearby Central Market is a great hall of iron and glass piled with produce. The cathedral holds a chalice venerated as the Holy Grail, and the Miguelete bell tower can be climbed for views over terracotta roofs.
