It is an exclusive opportunity here in the Caribbean region of Latin America. Tortuguero is the ancestral beach where the Green Sea Turtle and other species of sea turtles have spawned on the beach since time immemorial. Meet your tour guide at the office before walking to the beach to observe sea turtles. Your guide will provide information and answer questions as you wait for turtle spotters to signal for your group to approach. You will have the opportunity to observe turtles laying eggs, covering the nest, camouflaging, and returning to sea. *Although it is possible to see these processes, it is not guaranteed*

About Tortuguero
Tortuguero is a village and national park on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast, cut off from the road network, with jungle canals and nesting sea turtles.
Tortuguero is a small village on a strip of land between the Caribbean Sea and a network of rainforest canals in Limón province. No road reaches it, so boats and small planes are the only ways in. The national park beside it, created in 1975, protects beach, lagoon, swamp and tall rainforest, and it is one of the wettest corners of the country.
