  1. Vesuvius is the most famous volcano in the world. The excursion is suitable for everyone and does not require specific trekking preparation, it has a total length of almost 4 km between the outward and return journey, with a difference in altitude of around 140 meters and an average gradient of 14%. - If you want I can find a guide for your tour (the price of the guide and tickets are not included in the tour) - After the visit, the customer can decide to stop for lunch in a restaurant near Pompeii. For adults, together with lunch you can have a tasting of typical Vesuvius wines. Afterwards everyone will be able to take a guided tour of the cellars and vineyards. The lunch with visit will last approximately 2 hours - You will probably need to add extra hours if you add lunch, as it will take more than 4 hours, but we will decide this together. (TASTING IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE, MINIMUM VALUE €45)

About Pompeii

Pompeii is a Roman town near Naples frozen in ash when Mount Vesuvius erupted in AD 79, with streets, villas and frescoes preserved beneath the volcano.

Pompeii was a thriving Roman town when Vesuvius buried it under ash and pumice in AD 79. Excavation, begun in the eighteenth century, has uncovered paved streets with stepping stones, shops, bakeries, bathhouses and the forum. The amphitheatre, among the oldest Roman ones to survive, and the grand House of the Faun show the range of life, and plaster casts of the dead record the final moments of some residents.
