1. Your English-speaking driver will meet you directly beneath your cruise ship at Livorno Port at 8:00 AM. The day begins with a visit to Pisa, where you'll have time to marvel at and photograph the iconic Leaning Tower and the remarkable monuments of Piazza dei Miracoli, including the Baptistery and the Cathedral. The Leaning Tower, a world-famous symbol of architectural resilience, began tilting during its construction in the 12th century due to soft ground. The tilt worsened until stabilizing remedial work (1993-2001) reduced it to 3.97 degrees. For those seeking an unforgettable experience, climbing the tower offers stunning views of Pisa's landscape. Tickets are not included and cost €20.

2. After exploring Pisa, we’ll journey to Florence for the next part of your day. Our first stop in Florence will be Piazzale Michelangelo, a stunning square offering the most panoramic views of the city. Dedicated to the great Renaissance sculptor Michelangelo, the square features bronze replicas of some of his most famous works, including David and the allegories from the Medici Chapel of San Lorenzo. Following this breathtaking stop, we will head into Florence's historic city center to continue your adventure.

3. After the panoramic stop at Piazzale Michelangelo, we’ll head into the heart of Florence—one of the most beautiful and artistic cities in the world. Immerse yourself in the birthplace of the Renaissance, where architecture and masterpieces bring the 14th and 15th centuries to life. You’ll have three hours to explore Florence at your own pace. Suggested landmarks to visit during your walk include: • Palazzo Pitti & the Vasari Corridor • Ponte Vecchio • Piazza della Signoria & the Loggia dei Lanzi • Mercato del Porcellino & Palazzo Vecchio • Santa Croce Square & Church • The Duomo, Giotto’s Bell Tower & Baptistery • San Lorenzo Church & the Medici Chapel • Santa Maria Novella Square & Church Our driver will suggest excellent local spots for an authentic Tuscan meal and provide basic information to help you orient yourself in Florence. The return to Livorno is scheduled for approximately 5:30 PM.

About Livorno

Livorno is a working port on the Tuscan coast, with canals, a sea fortress, a chequered seafront terrace and the cacciucco fish stew.

Livorno became a major port when the Medici rulers of Florence built it up in the late sixteenth century, and they invited merchants of every faith and country, so the city mixes Greek, Jewish, Dutch and English heritage. The Fortezza Vecchia guards the old harbour, and the Monument of the Four Moors stands near the port. The Venezia Nuova quarter has canals crossed by small bridges.
