Tam Coc sits in Ninh Binh Province, about 100 km south of Hanoi, where rice paddies run right up to the foot of limestone karsts. Its name means "three caves", and the valley is often called Halong Bay on land. After the drive from Hanoi, you ride through the countryside on e-bikes with a small group and an English-speaking guide. Then choose: climb the 500 stone steps to the Hang Mua viewpoint, or join a morning tea meditation with singing bowls. The group meets again at the 13th-century Thai Vi Temple and Bich Dong, a three-tiered pagoda set into a limestone mountain. Lunch is home-hosted by a family in Dam Khe Trong Village. Afterwards, a boat from Hai Nham Wharf takes you along the river, with a tea break served on board. Transport from central Hanoi, the e-bike ride, lunch, the boat ticket and Hang Mua entry are all included. Book your seat for a full day in the Ninh Binh countryside.
Adventure, captivating culture and deeply relaxing wellness experiences combine on an intriguing join-in journey to Tam Coc. Situated in Ninh Binh Province, 100 km south of Hanoi, this is one of Northern Vietnam’s most spectacular landscapes. A breathtaking valley of emerald rice paddies and towering limestone karsts has earned it the moniker ‘Halong Bay on land’, while its name actually refers to three local caves. The experience is enhanced by a small group ride on eco-friendly e-bikes, offering an intimate and sustainable way to explore the countryside. We can opt for a walk up the 500 stone steps that lead to Hang Mua Cave, where a panoramic view awaits or participate in a calming morning tea meditation accompanied by the soothing sounds of singing bowls.
We then reunite to visit 13th-century Thai Vi Temple and the atmospheric, three-tiered Bich Dong Pagoda, a temple within a cave nestled into a limestone mountain. An authentic home-hosted shared lunch with a family in Dam Khe Trong Village is followed by a peaceful group boat ride, including a signature tea break served on board as we drift through an enchanting riverscape.

Top-ranked sights in Hanói: Ha Long Bay, Hanoi Old Quarter, Long Bien Bridge (Cau Long Bien).
