Itinerário
We walk from the statue of St. Clement and start the tour with a symbolic entrance in the old part of the town with a story about the city walls.
You will hear the story behind the name of this XIV c. church and its use.
You will hear brief story about the most recognizable house in the old part of Ohrid. The building serves as a museum today. (exterior visit)
You'll visit one of the oldest functional churches in Ohrid and hear the fascinating history of this XI c. cathedral. (Exterior visit from the yard, entrance is optional)
At this point we'll make a short break taking a seat at the theatre while the guide provides you with the history about it and its modern use.
Explore the exterior and interior of this XIII c. Byzantine orthodox church and hear the guide tell the unique story behind the fresco paintings. (admission included)

About Ohrid
Ohrid is a lakeside town in North Macedonia on one of Europe's oldest and deepest lakes, with a hilltop fortress and Byzantine churches.
Ohrid stands on the north-east shore of Lake Ohrid, which North Macedonia shares with Albania and which UNESCO lists for both its nature and its culture. The old town climbs a hill from the water to Samuel's Fortress, and the church of St John at Kaneo perches on a cliff above the lake. Frescoed Byzantine churches, among them St Sophia and St Clement's at Plaošnik, record the town's role as a centre of Slavic learning.
