On these 8 miles of whitewater you will run rapids like “La Piñata”, “El Cesar” & “Robin Hood” running the first 5 miles of continuous action. On the second half of the run, the river opens up on the Pacific flat lands giving you the opportunity to enjoy the view of many species of birds like the Ringed King Fisher, Tiger Herons and the White Ibis. With a little bit of luck you might be able to see one of the river otters or crocodiles that live on the river. . Options: Private (your group only, minimum 2 people), Small Group (shared with other guests, minimum 3 people) or Just Rafting (no transport: you meet us in Naranjito with your own car, minimum 4 people). Minimum age 12. Just Rafting meets at Restaurante El Mordisco, Naranjito main street: 9 am, 11 am or 1 pm.
The trip starts at your hotel, where a minibus will pick you up and take you to the meting point where you will check in for the trip. The drive is about 35 minutes to the river, passing through Oil Palm, Melina, Teak plantations and a couple of Costarican little towns. Quepos is a small Pacific port in Costa Rica beside Manuel Antonio National Park, with rainforest, white beaches and sport-fishing boats.
Quepos sits on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, a fishing town and former banana port now surrounded by oil palm plantations and forested hills. Its marina brings in boats chasing sailfish and marlin, and a small main street has shops, simple restaurants and a stretch of seafront. The town is the base for the nearby national park, a few kilometres away along a hilly road.
Top-ranked sights in Quepos: Rainmaker Park.
