About Nashville

Nashville, Tennessee's capital, is Music City, a Southern city of honky-tonks, recording studios, the Grand Ole Opry and hot chicken.

Nashville stands on the Cumberland River in middle Tennessee and is the home of country music. The Ryman Auditorium, a brick hall built as a gospel tabernacle and nicknamed the Mother Church of Country Music, hosted the Grand Ole Opry radio show for decades, and the Opry now plays on the outskirts.
