• 5Start your visit to Lucerne with Luis

  This is an excellent tour! Luis is super friendly and very knowledgable. The pickup spot was conveniently located, and we got to walk and see a good portion of Lucerne. In addition to the chocolate, cheese, and wine, Luis also can give you tons of recommendations of what to see/do/eat next during your trip. My friend and I are so glad to have met Luis and start our Lucerne visit this way! Highly recommend!

  Booked through a travel agent - our tour guide was so informative, personable and enjoyable to walk around with. Highly recommend as a perfect amount of time to learn about Lucerne and eat and drink in the city, but nice that it doesn’t take up your entire day.

• 5Fantastic experience!

  This was a fantastic experience, and Luis was an excellent guide! We only had a few hours in this lovely city, but this was the perfect way to get a feel for the town. Luis was very knowledgeable, and the pride he has for his home really came out as he guided us around the area. We were shown excellence in Swiss chocolate making, learned the history of the area, and ended with a refreshing stop to taste local wine and cheese. By the end of the tour we were sorry to leave Lucerne. We have already put it on our list of places we will be returning to. We highly recommend this tour!

• 3Could have been better

  Luis, the guide, was excellent and knowledgeable of Switzerland and the subject of the tour. But, for the cost we only had one chocolate location sampling, and one location for cheese sampling, 3 small cheese pieces only. I expected more for $185.00. The tour I took from Amsterdam was MUCH better.

About Lucerne

Lucerne is a compact Swiss lake city with a covered wooden bridge, a medieval wall and a ring of mountains, in the heart of Switzerland.

Lucerne sits at the northern end of Lake Lucerne, where the Reuss River flows out under two old wooden bridges. The Chapel Bridge, with its stone water tower and painted roof panels, dates from the fourteenth century, although it was partly rebuilt after a fire in 1993. The old town has painted house fronts, squares and the twin-spired Jesuit church, and the Museggmauer, a wall with nine towers, closes it to the north.
