  1. The Fort of Paimogo is a small coastal fort near Lourinhã, on Portugal’s Silver Coast. Built in the 17th century as part of a defensive network against pirate attacks and invasions, the fort overlooks the Atlantic Ocean from a dramatic cliffside location. Its strategic position helped protect the coastline and nearby fishing communities.

Santa Cruz is known to be a surfing hot spot but the town holds a lot of beauty and became a point of interest for many artists. Scientists recently discovered a nest containing about 10 dinosaur eggs in the cliffs of Santa Cruz, dating back roughly 150 million years to the Upper Jurassic period.
