Over 200 talented local actors use their bodies and voices to depict Malacca's glorious history and related modern culture. The theater features a 360-degree rotating auditorium, offering a novel and unique viewing experience. "Encounter Malacca" is an immersive performance that tells a series of touching stories about Malacca, showcasing a multicultural, inclusive, and harmonious society. This 70-minute extravaganza, combined with advanced stage technology, perfectly narrates the origins and development of Malacca, tracing the history of this ancient city. About Melaka
Melaka is a historic Malaysian port on the Strait of Malacca, with Portuguese and Dutch landmarks, a river lined with shophouses and Peranakan food.
Melaka was a great trading port of the fifteenth century, then a Portuguese, Dutch and British possession, and its historic centre, listed by UNESCO with George Town, still bears all of those layers. The red Stadthuys, a Dutch town hall, and Christ Church stand around a square, and the ruined church of St Paul crowns the hill above, near the gateway of A Famosa, the old Portuguese fort. The Melaka River, lined with old shophouses and murals, runs through the centre.
