About Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria is a round volcanic island in the Atlantic, nicknamed a miniature continent for its dunes, ravines, pine forests and mountain peaks.
Gran Canaria rises from the Atlantic to a rim of peaks, and it has been called a continent in miniature because it holds desert dunes, green valleys and cool forests within a short distance.
