5Cultural day tour
Nice day tour to a pretty town in the colonial style. The tour guide and driver were both fun and interesting people who we learned a lot from. If you're interested in culture it should be on your list. The indigo shop was very interesting and showed a major economic export of the period.
5A great tour!
The tour was a great experience. The guide was descriptive and offered great details about the history of the area and the people. I highly suggest that anyone who wants to know more about the history of El Salvador take this tour. 10/10!
5Once in a lifetime experience!
The tour was great/ the town is beautiful and the local shops had great souvenirs. I purchased gifts for my family and friends, and I would recommend this to anyone wishing to lean more about El Salvador.
5Suchitoto
Alfredo Diaz was my guide for the Suchitoto town tour. He was an excellent guide! So knowledgeable, and a lot of fun to travel with. He was accomodating, and answered all of my questions, and really seemed to enjoy what he does. To see such a beautiful place with someone like that was a great experence.
5Suschitito....great
Had a great half day tour to Suchitoto, a beautiful little colonial market town in El Salvador....weather was great but hot. Adonis Gamez was a friendly guide with a great knowledge of not only Suchitoto, but El Salvador in general and we ( there were only two of us on the tour) learnt a lot from Adonis....Great guide great day....
4Very hot location....
Very hot location. Interesting and important place. Admission to museums is cheap but not included in price.
San Salvador is El Salvador's capital, set in a valley beneath a volcano, with a historic centre of plazas and cathedrals, museums and mountain viewpoints.
San Salvador sits in a bowl-shaped valley under the San Salvador volcano, whose crater, El Boquerón, rises above the city to the west. The historic centre around Plaza Gerardo Barrios has the neoclassical National Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral, where Archbishop Óscar Romero is buried, and the Teatro Nacional stands nearby. The Divine Saviour of the World monument, a statue of Christ on a globe, stands on a busy roundabout.
Top-ranked sights in San Salvador: Lake Coatepeque, El Rosario Church (Iglesia El Rosario), Metropolitan Cathedral (Catedral Metropolitana).
