1. Guide in English Itinerary: Start from Como or Milan (h 8:30 am) or any other town in the area. Pickup and dropoff at your hotel/apartment. Drive to Bergamo (about 1,5 hours from Como or Milan) Guided visit of the town: Piazza Vecchia, Palazzo della Ragione, Duomo, Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, Cappella Colleoni; raise to the Campanone bell tower. Free time for lunch and shopping. Afternoon: trip with funicular to San Vigilio (city view). Alternatively: Accademia Carrara di Belle Arti Museum. Return to parking and drive back to hotel/apartment. The guided tour can be exclusive (not shared), if requested. Clothes and shoes according to weather forecast. Extra costs: lunch, tickets for Palazzo della Ragione, Campanone and funicular (few Euros per person); the visits are not compulsory. Changes may be done according to your interests.

About Lake Como

Lake Como is a deep, Y-shaped lake in Lombardy, ringed by steep green mountains, pastel villages, ornate villas and terraced gardens.

Lake Como is shaped like an upside-down Y, with three arms that meet near Bellagio. At more than 400 metres deep, it is one of the deepest lakes in Europe, held between steep wooded slopes that rise towards the Alps. Villages with painted houses and small harbours stand along the water, and a network of ferries links them, making a boat the best way to see the shoreline.
