About Louisville
Louisville is Kentucky's largest city, on the Ohio River, famed for the Kentucky Derby, a giant baseball bat and a trail of bourbon distilleries.
Louisville stands on the Ohio River, on the border with Indiana, and was named in 1780 after King Louis XVI of France.
