This Berber building reveals one of the most beautiful examples of Berber architecture in the city. It adjoins the medina and imposes by its gigantic walls. It served as a palace in the Pasha of Marrakech, Thami El Glaoui. Classified as World Heritage by Unesco, the Kasbah of Taourirt, is made of earth, straw and lime and weakens with time.
