Hoogtepunten

Enjoy a hands-on cooking experience with this 5-hour class in a centuries old olive press. Join Chef Giuseppe - a veteran of cooking classes in Italy, the US, Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico - for a shopping trip at the market to purchase ingredients. Sample some Tuscan specialties and prosecco. Prepare a 4-course meal, which you'll eat at the end of class. As Giuseppe is a member of the Italian Sommelier Association, great care is taken to source and feature smaller producers and unusual varieties from the region. • 5Highlight of Our Trip to Tuscany

Cooking with Chef Giuseppe at The Olive Press was definitely a highlight of our trip to Tuscany in September. It started at the food market in Montecatini where we met up with Giuseppe to choose the ingredients for our cookery class. When we arrived at the location for our cookery class, a beautiful, a 300 year old olive press that belonged to Giuseppe's family which has been beautifully restored.. Both inside and outside the mill feature many items that gives a nod to the history of the mill but also its reinvention as a cookery school. We really enjoyed and learnt so much from Giuseppe, how to make pasta, risotto, and an authentic Tuscan Ragu. We also enjoyed the olive oil and cheese tasting. And when the cooking finished, we sat and enjoyed what we had cooked, washed down with wonderful wines and finished with desert and limoncello. A great experience, history, cooking, wine and good company, definitely will book again on our next trip to Tuscany.

  • 5Best cooking class in Lucca, Italy

My wife and I took Giuseppe's cooking class while on our honeymoon in Lucca, Italy and this class was wonderful. I highly recommend it if you are in the area. During the class you can participate or just watch others and enjoy your vino. The old olive press building is beautiful and tucked away in the hills. An all-around great experience and Giuseppe was very entertaining and a great host. Karen and Ray

  • 5An unforgettable day!

My mom were able to spend an incredible day with Chef Giuseppe attending his cooking class in April of 2026. We met Guiseppe at the local market and knew right then that we were in for a treat. He was extremely personable and shared his knowledge about the local produce and offerings and was so patient with our myriad of questions. We then went up to the mill for our class. The property and the location is truly stunning inside and out. We enjoyed wine, cheese, his farm's honey, snacks, etc. while cooking up some great dishes. We made an amazing salad and were taught how to treat and prepare some beautiful local artichokes, we made gnudi with a wonderful red sauce and prepared a fantastic risotto with some local squash. Guiseppe is the ultimate host and teacher. We learned so much that day and it was such a memorable experience that will stay with us forever! It felt like spending the day with an old friend, who just happens to be an exceptional chef and guide. I would recommend this experience to friends and family, and we look forward to the day we can visit Chef Guiseppe to learn some more skills to take home with us. Grazie mille, Guiseppe!

  • 5Cooking class in Montecatini

This was one of the best cooking classes. You did as much or as little helping as you wish. The facility is absolutely top notch. Chef was very knowledgeable and entertaining with great pointers on every dish. There was plenty to eat and an abundance of wine with our meal. Thank you Giuseppe for a great experience.

About Montecatini Terme

Montecatini Terme is a spa town in Tuscany, with Belle Époque thermal pavilions, parks, a hilltop funicular and the Pinocchio village of Collodi nearby.

Montecatini Terme grew around its mineral springs in the Valdinievole, a plain between Florence and Lucca. The Tettuccio spa, a neoclassical pavilion with colonnades and frescoed halls, is where visitors have long sipped the waters, and the town's grand Liberty-style hotels and bathhouses stand among shaded parks. It is one of the Great Spa Towns of Europe on the World Heritage list.
