Clearwater, on Florida's Gulf coast, is a beach town on a barrier island of white sand and warm shallow water, close to Tampa Bay.
Clearwater Beach is on a barrier island reached by causeway from the mainland city of Clearwater, west of Tampa on Florida's Gulf coast. Its fine white sand slopes gently into warm, shallow water.
