2. The canyon is also notable for its history. According to legend, this place was one of the most important parts of the Dadiani summer residence. It was here that a bathing area was arranged for them. The area is surrounded by a unique Colchian forest. A 700 m long circular stone-paved hiking trail starts from the visitor center and follows the Dadiani historical trail. The trail features 2 bridges, 3 viewing platforms, and a 30-step historical staircase built of large limestone boulders. Visitors also have the opportunity to take a boat ride on a 300-meter (one-way) section of the Abasha River and enjoy the beautiful views of the mountain river canyon.

About Kutaisi
