After a few days of rain, this lake appears in the middle of the entire landscape of Fanal, which is unique due to its millenary trees.
offers a stunning view over the northern coast of Madeira Island.
Next to the sea we could see what gives the name to this land window that we find on a small island only visible from a certain angle, the stream that is clearly visible. At the stop by the sea we feel the intense smell of the sea.
The natural swimming pools at Porto Moniz are formed by volcanic lava, naturally filled with crystal-clear sea water. The natural pools of Porto Moniz are the highlight of the village of Porto Moniz.

Seixal beach is a beach of black sand, with crystal clear water. The beautiful landscape of the vineyard hillside where good wine is produced. The waves sometimes produce an interesting spectacle. the basaltic cliffs are another attraction to be seen from this location.
One of the capitals of the north of the island. We were able to visit the main church and its narrow streets reminding us of other times.
When the weather is good and there are no clouds, we climb to 1007 meters of altitude so we can see the north coast and the south coast of the island at the same time.

About Funchal
Funchal is the capital of Madeira, a Portuguese island in the Atlantic, set on steep green hills with flower-filled gardens and a seafront old town.
Funchal spreads up a steep hillside above a natural harbour on Madeira's south coast. The old town, the Zona Velha, has narrow lanes with painted doors and small restaurants, and the cathedral dates from around 1500. The Mercado dos Lavradores sells tropical fruit, fish and flowers in a hall decorated with blue tiles. A cable car climbs from the harbourfront to Monte, high above.
Top-ranked sights in Funchal: Sé Cathedral of Funchal, Church of Our Lady of Monte (Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Monte), Madeira Botanical Gardens.
