Itinéraire
We drive through Chiswick, one of London's most attractive suburbs where we will see one of the oldest breweries in the country and a brief glimpse of Chiswick House, built for Lord Burlington 300 years ago. We cross the Thames at Chiswick Bridge where we may see rowers in practising in their skiffs.
We take a short detour via Richmond Green to see some splendid Georgian Houses. Fans of the US TV series "Ted Lasso" are in for s special treat as we will see "The Prince's Head" which featured prominently in the comedy/drama. We will also see where "The Beatles" first met "The Rolling Stones".
We pass by Twickenham with its famous 83,000 stadium home to the game of rugby; often described as a hooligan's game for gentlemen!
We drive through the Surrey Heath, which claims to be the best low heath in the World, famed for its rare flora and fauna. Fans of "H.G. Welles, "The War of the Worlds" will find out where the Martians landed. We will also find about where the opening scene in the movie "Gladiator" was filmed.
We pass through the outskirts of Amesbury which is by far the longest continuously inhabited place in the country with a record that goes back 10,000 years. The town also has references that most mysterious of British figures, King Arthur.
A brief stop at Woodhenge, the counterpart to its more famous contemporary, Stonehenge. Nearby is Durrington Walls, the largest enclosure in pre-historic Britain.
We drive through Larkhill, home to The Royal Artillery raining Corps.
Now for our visit to Stonehenge. This most iconic British pre-historic site is familiar throughout the world. Our tour starts at the visitor centre where we will stand in the middle of a 360 degree auditorium and experience what it feels like to stand in the middle of Stonehenge as it developed over the centuries and throughout the seasons. Displays within the visitor centre show us where the stones came from and how they have been erected. Artifacts discovered nearby such as pottery, arrow heads and bronze daggers are on display, bringing to life the builders of Stonehenge their life and times. A display within the visitor centre shows us the Stonehenge area: a massive complex of 5,000 hectares. Outside there is a copy of the Great Trilithon where you can test your strength and re-creation of Stone Age huts based upon local excavations. The courtesy bus takes us up to the Stones to complete our tour.

About Londres
Top-ranked sights in Londres: St. Paul's Cathedral, Stonehenge, Tower of London.
