5Great sampling of Costa Rican wildlife!
Since It was our first time in Costa Rica, we were unaware that sloths in the wild would be very far away from Papagayo, Guanacaste. We didn’t want to travel for a full day to see them, so we opted to go to the wildlife sanctuary. It was fun, easy and informative. It just the right amount of time for a hot day. We fully enjoyed the experience with the staff, and it gave us a very good representation the of animals of Costa Rica.
5A wonderful visit!
This is a terrific tour! Lester coordinated the trip perfectly, and he and Maria gave us a tremendous experience, we saw sloths, snakes, birds, insects, and learned a lot about the various plants in the rainforest. Hightly recommend!
5Great!
If you are afraid of spiders or snakes, be forewarned. Otherwise, this is a GREAT trip. Our guide was so knowledgeable and considerate.
5Spectacular outing!
Wow! I talked to the tour operator the day before to see how hard the rain forest hike would be. He said very easy and it was. Then when our guide picked us up his boss told him to take us on a river cruise at the end and it was awesome! Sloths Crocodiles monkeys spectacular birds dart frogs Toucans snakes you name it we saw it! Lester and our driver Joel were informative and funny!

The "sanctuary" was not a real sanctuary. The sloths can come and go on the property. The area was very small and the entire walk through didn't take an hour. The tour and pick-up was expensive and very long. The driver was kind and offered to drive to a waterfall.
1Shouldn’t be allowed to advertise.
Never got the tour because they called and cancelled and said driver had an accident. If I had the choice to give 0 stars I would have.

Playa Flamingo is a small resort area on the Pacific coast of Guanacaste, in north-west Costa Rica, curving around a bay with a wide beach of pale sand and a hillside of homes above. A marina serves fishing and sailing boats, and the sea here is typically calm enough for swimming and paddling. A handful of shops and restaurants make up the centre.
